Monaco’s three-goal margin took time to develop, with Freiburg still only one behind until the closing stages.

Paris Brunner broke the deadlock in first-half added time, lifting the ball past an opponent before advancing to finish. Lukáš Hrádecký then protected the lead with a double save from Lukas Kübler early in the second half.

That intervention allowed Monaco to stay in front until Lamine Camara made it 2⁠–⁠0 in the 83rd minute, following up after Mio Backhaus saved from Ansu Fati.

Fati scored himself in added time, controlling a cross with his back to goal before turning to finish. Monaco had their second victory.
