Hoffenheim break through either side of half time

Hoffenheim earned their first points by scoring either side of the interval against a Lyon side that had won its opening two matches.

Dominik Greif’s saves helped keep Lyon level until Andrej Kramarić struck in the fourth minute of first-half added time. Kramarić then supplied Adam Daghim for the second goal in the 49th, after Bambasé Conté had recovered possession.

Adam Hložek added a third in the 83rd minute. Lyon remained on six points, while Hoffenheim finally had a result to build on after two defeats.
